what to expect

Initial client meetings are typically held on the site of the proposed project. At this time, we analyze the existing site conditions, including the areas of sun and shade, slopes, soil, drainage and any architectural elements that might influence the design. On some projects we produce a site plan for our clients, but for more complex sites an official survey will need to be provided.

Next, we prepare a preliminary design using AutoCAD, which is used as a planning tool for a second meeting. The client’s feedback is integrated into the plan as the design becomes more refined. At this stage the irrigation, lighting, drainage, and construction detail drawings are prepared. Once the drawings are finalized, they are submitted to the town planning board for approval, if required.
